C1 on multiprocessor system
I recently updated my system to dualcore Pentium extreme edtion (955), so it has two physical processors and four logical processors (each of the cores is hyperthreaded, yeilding 4 logical processors total). I use Widnows XP Professional SP2 with all latest updates.
When running C1 3.7.4 and generating previews for Canon CR2 files, Task Manager indicated that only one of four processors is loaded, other three are at zero (or near-zero) load.
\"Perform processing on single processor\" is unchecked in C1.
While I have not checked, system should not be I/O bound. All involved disk drives (used for CR2 source and preview cache) are very fast when I copy files between them.
Paging is not a problem too (I have 3GB RAM in this computer, of them less than 1GB is actually used when running C1).
Is not C1 supposed to use at least two processors?
