Capture One LE 3.x.x to One 4.8.3

I've seen the pre release notes about 3.x.x not working after 31 Dec 2009. This has happened to me so I have downloaded Capture one 4.8.3 as advised. I installed it over the top of 3.x.x and I have tried to activate to no success. I entered original product code for 3.x.x and was then told to deactivate. I did this and still no joy with activation. What happens next????
