    Hi Bo,
Welcome to both the forum and the Phase One world. I was intrigued by your question (and similar questions here) and decided to setup a comparison. I have my Mac with CO4.x always running (MacBook Pro, OS X 10.5.6, CO 4.6 skipping 4.6.1) with an Eizo CG221 attached and calibrated.
Also on the Eizo an WinXP Pro x64, CO 4.6. The monitor has 2 input connectors, allowing me to switch fast between Mac and Windows. Next I viewed a number of raw images from both a Canon 5D mkII and Leica M8 on both systems.

First, lets remove DPP or another software out of the equation and focus on CO 4.6 both Mac and Windows for clarity. DPP is notoriously exaggerating sharpening in preview, by the way.
Next, I found no visible difference in the CO 4.6 preview (both fit and 100%) between Mac and Windows and I was very picky today. I did notice that the way the preview is rebuild (after an adjustment) looks a bit different between Mac and Win. But who cares? The 'it gets blurry' comment is heard here before, in particular with earlier versions of CO4 (4.5 comes to mind). In general, the preview's resolution is build up from low to high, which gives the impression to the eye that details gets lost. I think that it is important that the preview represents an image that comes as close as possible to the output file when viewed in serious program like Photoshop.

In that respect, I have a bigger problem since CS3 and CS4 have a distinct difference in detail representation on my Mac (CS4 showing less sharped details). Not such problem with CO 4.6 between Win/Mac, here at least.
