Cannot edit ARW images.

I am just trying out C1 but I cannot edit any of my images from my Sony Alpha 200, they are of course ARW files and I can only view them and not edit them no matter what.

Any ideas guys? C1 looks great but this is a bit of a show stopper.

edit: The images are on my Macbook Pro and are not read only.

  First: you are on CO 4.1 or later?
  If yes (because you are trying out and have probably downloaded it recently): are you running either the standard or Pro trial mode (should work) or in DB mode (does not work)?
  Note: DB = data back; does not support editing DSLR files.

  Hi! I'm on Capture One 4.8 and I also can't edit my ARW files from my Sony A100. I just get the little eye icon on my photos.
  Great software but would be fun to really use it 😊

  Same first reply: check your license and verify that you are not running in DB mode. This prevents adjusting ANY DSLR raw file (only Phase One digi backs are allowed).
  Second, are the files on a network share or on a read-only drive (like CD/DVD)?
