Import XML file via AppleScript?

I am using the AppleScript "make XML file" command in Expression Media 2 as part of a potential backup/restore workflow. However, looking through the AppleScript dictionary, I can't see any way to import the XML file I've saved in order to recreate the catalog. I can, of course, use the "File > Import from XML..." menu item, but I am trying to automate this process.

Is there an AppleScript command that achieves the same thing as the "File > Import from XML..." menu item?
