No shutter count value in jpg-copy

    It's normally pretty difficult to ascertain the shutter count anyway. Which is why there are websites to which you can upload a photo to get the shutter count read from it. As explained here

    The point is that generally the shutter count is not an easily accessible number, and Capture One is not unusual in not displaying it.

    if you are able to ascertain the shutter count from your NEF files, do share how you do it!

    Nikon puts the shutter count in the EXIF Maker Note. I believe C1 strips Maker Note from metadata, I don't see it in C1 exported/processed JPEGs. Kind of natural as Nikon did not make the JPEG, C1 did.

    If Exiftool were "beerware", Phil Harvey would be pretty soaked by now 😉

    Yes, and my point is that most software actually doesn't easily display it, not just Capture One, which is why there have to be services like I mentioned that extract the information for you.
