I checked that Capture one does support Nikon D80,and it says it does, so why am i getting this problem?
The programme opens up fine, but when the tethering is supposed to start it says "no camera attached".

Hi Drew,
Ok,firmware has now been updated on the D80, the camera is still not beign detected ?
Should it detect from scratch? or do i need to change setting son camera or the software??

Yes, maybe more information about your Windows and Capture One version, is CO running a Pro edition, has it worked in the past, is the camera visible in Device Manager, can you connect with Nikon software to it, is any other (Nikon) software connected to it when connecting through Capture One?0 -
I just purchased Capture One 5 Pro for the purpose of tethered macro photos. I have a D80 and have updated the firmware to 1.11 and have the same problem. Capture One indicated No Camera Attached. I decided to try some other tethering software to see if it failed too. NKCapture works fine! I notice that there was no resolution to this original problem and wondered if anyone else has some insight as to what to do.
I am using a Lenovo Thinkpad T500 with Windows 7 Ultimate.0 -
Hmm, there doesn't seem to be any resolution to the OP's post... at least that I could find.
However Capture One 5 PRO does support the D80 tethered just fine, my only concern would be your Window's 7 OS which I personally have not tested. I would suggest you first remove any CF card if there is one and beyond that create a support case and we'll take a closer look.0 -
Hi guys, I know its been a while since this has been bumped but I found that the issue with the D80 and D200 not connecting with CO is due to Windows 7, I would sugjest right click CO and going to properties then go to compatibility, then under compatibility mode for Windows Vista (service pack 2), this seemed to fix any problems, anymore questions go ahead and ask. 0 -

Thanks for posting. Did you try this on the 32-bits or 64-bits version of Windows 7?0
