CO1 Slow Startup
Working with a MacBook Pro (16", 2019) Processor 2.3 GHz 8-Core i9 with 32GB Ram.
The catalog is stored on internal drive (SSD) with photos on a Drobo 5D3 connected via Thunderbolt 3. Drobo also has a mSata card.
The issue I have is the startup which can take anywhere from 2-4 minutes to boot up C1.
Another issue is that C1 will just quit when I click on some of the sliders.
Have completely uninstalled and reinstalled C1 a number of time, however the same issues occur.
Does anyone else run into these types if issues?

Maybe this could bring something…

No, I didn't run into this issue. Two to four minutes is a long time. Maybe you could ask the C1 technical staff (top right corner of this page).

Nikon Shooter I found the link very interesting and to the fact that others have had performance issues. I beginning wonder if the size of my catalog which I well over 140,000 images. Again I should mention all photos are on a Drobo 5D3 and catalog is on the internal SSD drive. I’m coming from Lightroom which I had no issue with this size of catalog.
Robert yes I have opened a case with C1 but wanted to see if others have had any performance issues. According to the link Nikon Shooter provided their maybe an issue. Hopefully C1 tech will have a solution. But then again I’m starting to feel C1 struggles with large catalogs.
Cheers!

Yes. 140,000 images is a lot for Capture One catalogues, according to what I read in various forums and threads.

I don't know anything about catalogues, really, I only work in sessions. :)0
