Importing TIFF files into Capture One 20 Pro

I cannot bring TIFF files into Capture One 20. I typically import photos from Photo Mechanic using the Import Images window of C1. Only NEF and JPEG files will show in the Import Images window not the TIFF files. 

Also I use Silver Efex Pro 2 to create black and white photos. In doing this the end product is a  B&W TIFF file. When I  hit Save the black and white image does not show in C1 as I would expect but instead is stored in Photo Mechanic. The TIFF's have an ICC profile of RGB.
I run C1 on an iMac running Catalina V10.15.6

    Is tiff editing enabled in preferences?

    Yes, the TIFF editing is enabled in Preferences.
