software bug?
I'm running the current version of COne on a 2019 iMac, but last night while editing a session, I couldn't apply a custom style to an image, then a few images had their colors inexplicably altered and their rating was reset. Then I noticed the color editor reverted back to an older version: the color range doesn't have the range of the latest COne version, the orange and magenta are missing.

Sounds more like a messed up installation caused by unknown activities.
Try rebooting the system a few times without starting C1 to see if anything starts to work differently.
If that does not identify any likely problem sources use the "Submit a request" link to create a request for technical assistance.
