Z9 C1pro 22 15.1.0.123 tethering issue

Hey everyone,

I'm having an issue getting my Nikon Z9 to tether.

version c1pro 22 (build 15.1.0.123)
I've:
-given it all permissions on the computer
-checked that the computer recognizes and displays the camera as attached under USB
-made sure the capture version I downloaded was not brand specific ( its pro )
-made sure Nikon was selected as a tethered option
-restarted both computer and software 
-insured camera is on the latest firmware
-Insured camera usb is set to "shooting" priority
-insure USB POWER is off (though on doesn't seem to help either)
-pulled battery 
-changed cables...

also, now my z7 won't tether to C1pro 22 15.1.0.123 
re-checked version 20 with z7 and it tethers just fine....

what am I not doing?

  Well, not much help I know but I just tried my Z6ii on my iMac and it worked perfectly.

  One question:

  -pulled battery

  What's this?
