Freezing upon trying to perform any task

Upon importing an album or regenerating existing previews, the activity will freeze after one to 10 previews generated. If one image is selected and the preview is regenerated, the activity indicator will eventually show 1 of 1 complete, however processor load remains high and no other actions can be performed, including closing the program in any manner other than ending the CaptureOne task in task manager. Additionally, when previews have been successfully generated, the outcome is generally very low quality, similar to a YouTube video on the lowest possible quality setting.

 

A ticket has been submitted to CaptureOne technical support but have not heard anything back as of yet.

    Rolled my version of CaptureOne back to 14.1.0 until I can receive assistance from technical support.

    I have had something similar on my PC for some time and it appears to be caused by the hardware acceleration (OpenCL). Turning that off ("never") for both display and processing has made Capture One responsive agian for me.
