Capture One rendering and very slow

Capture One 20 is very slow on my iMac.

I'm working with Sony files from the Sony A7iii and my iMac is fast enough.

Whenever I adjust anything on a photo the image takes about 10 seconds to load. Even if it's just simple color correction or rotating.

 

How can I improve this? It feels like capture only renders an image if I have this certain image open. How can I render everything in one take and what should I do to get capture one working normal for me?

  or maybe if its possible to work with proxy files or something

  You haven't mentioned a single thing about your computer spec, your Capture One settings, and so on - how are we supposed to know?

  I find myself saying this here with depressing regularity: what you've done here is akin to you walking into your doctor's office, saying "I have a symptom", and expecting a full diagnosis and curative regimen as a result.

  Ain't gonna happen...
