2018 MAC running OS Monterey

I have a 2018 2T mac running on Monterey. I'm abroad on a 7 day job tethered on Capture One 22 15.2.2.4. Shooting about 250GB each day in a weather heat around 25 degrees on a beach, with a shade umbrella. By day 4 the camera starts to hit buffer after 20 clicks. Any ideas why? Also using Area 51 tether cables which have been a dream until day 4. We wipe off all the previous shoot days to see if this speeds up shooting and the images coming into Capture but it does. Any idea as to why? Is there certain checks I need to do, so i can figure out a solution?
