So, why P1 cannot just add a linear linear curve and corresponding profiles? As mentioned in the beginning post there every version adds contrast without any reason.

Strange. I have used Diffraction correction many times just putting actual aperture used value at the Lens correction Tool (Movement tab) for manual focus lens. Try it.
