John,A CF card would interfere with the captures importing from the camera (as the CF card would intercept) but shouldn't interfere with the connection of the camera to the software.

John,Shouldn't be any difference from 5.1.2 in that regard.If you downgrade to 5.1.2 and the issue is resolved, create a support case and give us the specifics so we can take a closer look.
