I too have noticed this issue since version 10. I use a menubar app, GfxCardStatus to manually switch GPUs before running Capture One.Any other app, like Photoshop or Premiere immediately requests ...

Updated to High Sierra last night, just did a quick tethered shoot today with my A7RII, no issues! What a relief, I can't help but be an impulsive early adopter sometimes 🤭
