please be aware that the symbol in C1 only tells you, that the file cannot be edited, not necessarily a permission issue.

- put the pictures I an album- right click album and choose "export as catalog..."- import the newly created catalog into the different catalogPretty much the same as in Aperture.Johannes

should work as you described it. For me creating collections from the folders seems to be easier, but your way should also work.Regards Johannes
