This happened to me with OpenCL turned off.It still happens with OpenCL turns on.Turning OpenCL off by default is the wrong approach.

Preview generation stops once Phase One runs the Mac out of memory. At that point, OS X freezes the process as it's a runaway and is compromising the stability of the system.I managed to get around...
