Black dots and spots on exported JPGs
Hi team,
I recently upgraded to version 23. I shot a tethered job, worked on the shots in Capture after the shoot, including using multiple layers, and editing some files in Photoshop for final retouching. As usual, I saved these files from Photoshop back to Capture, where they appear in the session as a new TIF file, with no layers. Upon exporting these TIF files as JPGs, I see that there are random black dots/marks/spots peppered all over the image. Bizarre. Please see attached image to see spots in eyes/teeth/the crocodile. Does anyone know what's going on? I edited just as I usually would have in Version 21. Many thanks!

The first thing that I'd suggest is turning off hardware acceleration in Preferences (the General section) and trying again.

Thank you so much, Ian, that seems to have worked and my heart rate is returning to normal. I very much appreciate your help and prompt response. Warmest regards!

Hardware acceleration as implemented by Capture One still creates problems even after gaining support for Metal and is at the core of quite a few problems as evidenced by the salutary effects of turning it off. There are big opportunities for improving it so that it works reliably. I wonder what percentage of users have decided just to leave it off.
