Ipad shoot to external SSD

Is it possible to shoot directly to an external ssd on ipad? I would like to be able to utilise the space and speed of the ssd without clogging the ipad and quickly unplug from the ipad to reconnect the ssd to my laptop to continue in capture one pro. I am not a fan of cloud storage and wifi uploads/downloads as this is not a functional, fast or reliable option for on set workflow and optimisation. I am a digi by trade since 2017 and have completed the capture one certificate course in 2019. Please could you clarify this. Thank you kindly.

  Hi, I was about to ask the same question. I have an iPad Pro bot storage is limited to 250GB, so I was wondering if there would be the possibility to set the capture folder onto an external drive via USB-C. I'm shooting on a Sony A7IV and I believe it can shoot tethered only via cable, therefore I'll be using a USB-C dual switch.
