Renumbering only odd or even numbers

We are photographing documents e.g. bound books. With the item on the copy stand, we'll start with the cover and odd-numbered pages, and then even-numbered pages. On occasion, we might miss a page requiring renumbering. Is there a way to create a numbering sequence that starts from a certain count and only impact the odd or even pages? Right now, we have to do it all manually. Thanks.

  The Next Capture Naming tool contains counter options for the [x Digit Counter] tokens. 

  There are two values here you need. 

  "Set Capture Counter...": Set this to 0, or 1 depending if you want odd or even.

  "Increment": set this to "2" - now every capture counts in 2s from the starting value.

  ... and you can set the increment if you use the batch renaming tool, also.
