Updating fromVerison 21
Hello everyone!
I wonder why it looks like I can not find a way to update/upgrade my Capture One version 21 to version 23, I mean, not without having to pay the full price, not an upgrade fee.
Please advice and thanks in advance!

But wait, there is more, once you aquired a new license you can update for free only until the next feature release comes out, e.g. if you buy 16.2 your free updates stop with 16.3.
So, choose wisely and test thorougly if the new version works for you, and did not introduce any regression bug with any existing functionality which you need in C1.
Or, follow the path C1 wants to urge you to: "subscription"

It is almost a joke that they sell perpetual licenses. You only get updates until they add a feature. So if there is a bug fix and they add something as a feature you do not get the bug fix.
I have been with C1 since Aperture stop development. I am disappointed C1 is going this way. I may need to revisit my options again.

That's the biggest gripe I have with the new policy.
It might even be against EU consumer protection rights (with spans two years after purchase date), at the very least for major issues .e.g. incompatibilities with a new operating system upgrade which prevents C1 from running on your machine. If C1 will make an exception in that case would still have to be seen, but their policy should reflect that in written, imo.
