Uploading photos

A week ago I shot a set of photos, saving them to an SD card. I then imported the files into Capture One 23 and processed them without a glitch. Yesterday, I saved a second group of photos to the same card. When I attempt to import these photos, Capture One reports that I have 183 duplicates, and it fails to show the new photos. I'm sure I have set Capture One incorrectly. Can you tell me what to fix? Many thanks!

  If you look at the contents of the card outside of Capture One, do you see

  a. just the first set of images?
  b. just the second set of images?
  c. both sets of images?

  Are you using a session or a catalog?
