Make brush tool work without having center of brush within image boundary

What problem do you see this solving?
When attempting to brush highly feathered selections around the edge of the image, the brush will not work unless the center of the brush is within the image boundary. This makes it difficult to get the effect I want around image edges with large, feathered brushes.

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
This is a very common technique used to make manual vignettes in landscape editing and I use it on every image when working in Adobe Camera Raw. I would love for it to be possible in C1.

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?
I have to typically create stronger brush strokes within the image boundary than I would like then go back with soft erasers to get the effect I want. But this takes too much back and forth and ultimately makes me give up on it.
