Can not export photos anymore
Hi everyone,
All of a sudden I can not export any photos. I do it the same way I always have. I have Captur One 23 Pro 16.1.2.20. The only thing I changed in the last days is that I updated my mac computer software to Sonoma 14.1.1 and since then the Capture One program froze a few times while tethered shooting and then now I can not export any photos. I noticed that the photos appeared for half a second in the folder but then disappeared. And now they don't appear any more. I have deadlines and I'm super anxious getting this fixed. Anyone has any suggestion what to do? I just got a notification on updating my computer software to 14.1.2. Shall I do that? maybe it will fix the bug? Help please
Edda

Edda Petursdottir First off, with you on a deadline, I suggest holding off on any more updates. I'm not sure abut the exact version number but I believe you're running one of the versions that has problems exporting to any folder tied to iCloud while running Sonoma. For instance, say you're exporting to Desktop and it's mirrored to iCloud. Try exporting to a folder that isn't mirrored - and keep in mind that if Desktop is mirrored, so is Desktop>>Photos. If you have an external drive, create a folder there and export. That should solve your immediate problem and get your deadline sorted.

Hi Brian,
I truly appreciate your feedback and it worked! Thank you!
Yes now that you say it I always noticed the ICloud working and making a signal while exporting so this makes total sense. I will export all my work now to the hard drive, but moving forward you think that fixing the problem would be to update the mac software again?

I think you'll have to update your Capture One software. Please open a support case. Tell them the version number you're on now and ask the next lowest version you can update to in which that is patched.
Long story short, the version of Capture One you're on does not support Sonoma. I believe you'll have to do a paid upgrade to get a version that does work with Sonoma but I'm not absolutely sure of that. They will be able to tell you. Your alternative would be to downgrade your Mac back to Ventura.
You can open a support ticket here: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Choose "I have a technical question".
You might want to include a link to this thread in your support request. Paste in this URL and tell them we discuss your problem here and it relates the the iCloud missing files issue. https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/15180977060125-Can-not-export-photos-anymore
Edit to add: If you do upgrade Capture One, of course you will get the latest version which was updated just yesterday.

Edda Petursdottir I also want to add that if you decide to stay on the version of Capture One you currently have, you can update your Mac as needed. However, you may have to continue exporting to a folder not associated with iCloud.
