Force view refresh?
I have been leaving CO open while the laptop is not being used (for a few days when I have a new batch, or until I need to reboot), since at a certain point during the year it takes a really long time for my default Session to load al the files. I've moved some of the files to my 2023 folder, from the new import folder. In Sessions it doesn't look possible to use two different system folders at the same time, which is why I keep them in one place while I still need to work on them or go back and find something from the current year.
I thought in the past that CO would see an new files I added to my new import folder (ingested from SD card in Photo Mechanic while renaming and applying some metadata, which I mostly do there). For some reason, it's not doing that any longer. Even when I closed it and relaunched, it only sees dates through 1/22.
I thought this was happening with TIFF files that result from external stacking, but it turns out those aren't using the original file capture date and were buried in the sort. In my default import folder there are .ARW, .ORF, .JPG, and the aforementioned .TIF files. When troubleshooting, I tried regenerating previews and thought it would only do the ones in the test folder, but it tried to go through everything which would have gone on for a long time, and I also don't see a way to kill that kind of process.
Is there some way to force a view refresh?
This doesn't seem to happen with my phone (Pixel 6 Android) photos, which are in a different folder, and which I have to manually copy to my laptop, then rename and apply metadata via PM.
