tether

i have a canon r6 mk 2, i have no problem conecting the camera. it shows up as being connected and i can use the panel to shoot the camera. but im not getting the image that i have just taken in the main window. it sometimes appears in the side pannel as a smaller thumbnail. but to get it into the main adjustments window i have to go to the computer and click on it. (this was working the first time i connected it and tried it out, but since then im having no luck. can anyone help please. im a bit of a computer novice so please use non technical speech. thanks in advance.
