Adjustment copy and paste

What problem do you see this solving?
When copying the edits of one images and posting them on another, if there is a layer adjustment it copies it over but if you go back to the original images and change the edit , copy it again and re-apply it to the second images it just adds another layer so you have two layer adjustments on the second image and doesn't just overwrite the first layer adjustment. It really slows down my edit time a lot and is very annoying
