"Recent Imports" randomness

When syncing a folder to import images into a Capture One catalogue, sometimes the imported images get their own entry in the Recent Imports section of the Library:

– And sometimes they don't. Apparently at random. With the same folder and the same sync function.

Any suggestions what's going on here?
