Backup & Reinstall

What is the best method for backing up my catalogue as I plan on reformatting my hard drive & reinstalling Capture One.

I always make sure that I back up all my catalogues but when I've reinstalled Capture One in the past I've had to go through all my images as all my edits have been lost; I know (obviously) that I'm doing something wrong but don't know what.

I'm using an Apple Mac mini running Sequoia.

Can you offer any advice as I'd be so grateful?

  Copy the entire catalog folder to an external disk. Once you have rebuilt your system copy the entire catalog folder back. It really is that simple.
