Export Originals with Metadata (Keywords and Star Ratings)?

I'm trying to move one of my Capture One catalogs to Adobe Lightroom, including keyword and star-rating metadata.

Exporting the Originals (including Adjustments) does NOT export the metadata.

Can anyone clue me in on how to export the original RAW files accompanied by metadata, either by including sidecar files or some other method?

(I know in Aperture it was possible to embed the metadata in the original RAW file itself.)
