Difference between import folders:capture, session, selected
Hi there,
I'm new to C1 coming from Apple Aperture. I'm trying to learn C1 watching videos and reading tutorial. I've also tried to search this forum and maybe I'm using the wrong keywords and cannot find a good answer.
So I'm here to ask you the difference between the folders during the the import of files in a session.
This is a screenshot of the panel:

Then, If I choose "Selected Folder" then I get the following error:
No valid folder selected in the Library Tool
When the option is to store files in the Selected Folder, make sure you have a valid folder selected in the Library Tool.
As I want to work with referenced files, I'm expecting that with "Selected folder" option I can work in the original folder where my files are stored.
I can't understand what I have to do.
Thanks,
Fabio

Hi Fabio, when you work with sessions, there is no option to work with referenced files. That is something that belongs to catalogs as far as Capture One is concerned.
It is completely understandable that the session concept is a bit confusing at first sight. Maybe it is better to try a catalog when you come from Aperture.
With these kind of questions in mind, and for new users in particular, I created a few blogs which might help you too. I provide the links below and leave it up to you to follow up or not.
