Local adjustments - accidentally selecting selection points

Hi!

Quick question for the older hands at this:

It often happens that I'll be doing my dodge & burn pass on an image that already has a few adjustment layers, and in the process of brushing in my new mask, I'll accidentally hit the selection point for one of my other layers, activating that layer. Most of the time I realize I've done this immediately and I fix it, but the selection points also sometimes obscure parts of the image I'm interested in (eyes, for instance), and it does break my flow a bit.

Is there a way to hide them while working in layers or otherwise make this less likely? It's not the end of the world, but I figured I can't be the first who's bumped against this. Any ideas or suggestions?

  Yes, I've got one.
  
  In the cursor toolbar, or in ' Local Adjustments' tab - ' Local Adjustments' tool, pull down the menu of the brush/eraser/gradient tool icon. The last entry is 'Show Selection Points'. Just tick it off.

  Great question asked; and that's the best part of this Open Forum - Hans' answer was a BIG help to me; and I never even thought to ask. I've pulled more masks off of their intended area than I care to remember. Who knew (besides Hans) it was that simple? probably many; but thanks.
