Just select the folder that contains the images you wish to import - they will appear in the browser window of the importer.

That assumes that you are running the Trial in Pro mode.

If you happened to choose DB (Digital Back) mode or either of the Sony modes you will not see your Nikon files.

I assume the Nikon files are .NEF RAW files?

If not another thing to check is that the C1 Preferences are set to allow editing of whatever files type they are.

    HTH.

Thanks Grant. I was able to resolve the problem by right clicking the folder and importing the contents using Capture One. I am however not able to edit any photos after importing. Not sure if i need to create a new workspace to be able to edit it. The files are .NEF Raw type.

Make sure that, when you open Capture One in trial mode, you activate Pro mode. Does that help?

    Hi Stephen,

Thanks for your response. I did activate Pro Mode. What i am not understanding is that even after selecting an image none of the tools tab sections are highlighted such as the white balance, exposure, clarity, levels, curve etc. So effectively i am not able to edit any image even though the system has all the metadata information of the picture. It's strange.

Any idea what could be causing this?

Double-check you're indeed using the Pro run-mode : select « About Capture One » in the menus. In the window that will pop up, what's written on the first line? Should be « Capture One Pro » followed by the version number.

Are there any symbols appearing around the edge of the image in the Browser window?

Did you import to a Catalogue or a Session?

Are the images on a disk somewhere in your system?

    Mac or Windows?

    Hi Grant,

It is working now. I might have clicked DB and not Pro on start up and that's what was causing the problem. I followed what John suggested and reactivated with Pro mode. Been able to use it since. Thanks for responding.
