Adjustments only partly copied
some of my adjustments are not copied over to other files. Some are. Layers will be, as far as I can see, completely copied. So I found a workaround: creating an inverted layer and make all adjustments on that layer. This will copy to other files.
That said it´s a workaround and I would like to have proper working software. Any ideas?
Thank you
Ralf

I received feedback from support today, acknowledging there is a problem with the copy & paste function, see below
Thank you for getting back to me.
Just to clarify: did you use any styles prior to copying adjustments from one image to another? If so, it's indeed a bug we are working hard to address, and our team will likely solve this in one of the future service releases.
If you like, you can go back to Capture One 12 using the same key to activate it – until we release a fix for the bug. Let me know if this works.0 -
At least we’ve finally had a response. It’s a really hard bug to pin down, it seems random from image to image. Fingers crossed... 0 -
The way layers are handled in Copy & Paste Adjustments is truly awful. I work with series of up to 36 images in preparing spherical panoramas. Whenever a single layer is modified in one image and the same modification is applied to the other 35 images with Copy & Paste Adjustments, a new layer with the same is created and stacked on the initial layer. It is literally necessary to go through 35 slides and manually delete the original layer. This blows up a complete workflow for preparing individual images for panoramic photography !
Has PhaesOne never looked into actual photographer workflows ? I know at least 3 other users of CO 20 who are equally unnerved by the way layers are handled in Copy & Paste Adjustments.
PhaseOne - please bring back the previous (CO 13) way layers were handled. At least provide a general option (preferences) to choose between the two different functionalities. The current functionality is a killing feature for CO 20, i.e. against it.0 -
I can confirm the same problem with styles and copying adjustments in capture one 13.0.3.29

NNN636440946730670086,
I also like the new copy behavior of layers, as others do, but I can understand that for some other workflows it is couterproductive. Did you submit a feature request for the configuration of that behavior in preferences?
Mat,
It seems they were trying hard to support new lenses and cameras, and trying hard to sell style packs, rather than trying hard to fix this problem with styles. Strange world this is...

Mat, ditto. I've found a workaround - save your settings as a style which you can then use for the rest of the batch (not via the adjustments clipboard as advised by C1 - it doesn't work - but simply through Adjustments/styles/save user style). Once I move onto the next batch, I save the new adjustments over the same style.
It's ponderous and time-wasting - C1 needs to get on top of this, having rushed a beta test onto the market.

I am also affected, I thought all the time that I was suddenly too stupid. It took me forever. Thanks to Phase One for nothing. And I didn't sign up for beta testing...

I have been experiencing a similar issue. I can copy and apply using the menu dialog, as well as the global buttons, but when using the local copy apply, either with the dialog or without, nothing happens. In my investigation I discovered that if I use the local copy, I can use the global apply button to apply that single adjustment. However, when I use the local apply button, it is actually COPYING the setting from what I want to be the destination image and moving that to the adjustments clipboard.
So, a potential workaround is the use the local copy but only use the global apply button.
Strange that we are all experiencing slightly different variations on the same issue with copying and applying adjustments, but clearly there are issues.
