cursor menus do not expand

sorry for my maybe not perfect english 😉

I've got a Problem with the Cursor menus in C1 20

I know they should expand at mouse click, mostly the menu works fine, but sometimes the submenu-items do show (menu does not drop down / expand).

Database and images are stored on a 500GB Samsung x5 SSD (thunderbolt 3)

I am working on a iMac 27 5K (2017); core i5 3,4Ghz; 64GB RAM; macOS Catalina 10.15.1
macOS and C1 installed on internal 256GB SSD


any ideas?

  To get them to expand you need to click and hold (long press).
