Slow Image Loads

I am experiencing slow loads all of a sudden while tethered. Ive switched cameras and the problem still occurs. It actually seem progressive as the shoots go by the loading slows. Is this a cacheing issue or something like that?

  If you want help on this you probably need to say a lot more. What hardware (cameras, computer), what software (OS, version of Capture One) etc.

  In my experience once a capture folder gets somewhere around 200-300 images in it capture one slows down on loading images, at that point I'll switch to another capture folder and things go back to normal. I'll move all the files into one folder later if necessary.

  I am using a mac 10.11.6 Cap 9. My capture speeds have never lagged like this before. Before the suggestion to upgrade is dropped here, is there a way to trouble shoot this issue?
