I have one on my desk... what do you want to know? 0 -
well..
do you use it always?
does it replace the keyboard or the mouse?
Do you spare time?
the noise?
better than the kb...
thanks

Not always but its useful for heavy editing tasks, the party piece is when working in full screen on a single image I can adjust most settings without the CO interface. Just me and the image... which is nice.
It does a lot but it not a replacement - you can do multi adjustments (two sliders at once for example) which you simply can not do with a mouse. However you still need a mouse and keyboard for naming and general OS navigation.
Yes, it saves a lot of interaction with the UI.
The Wave 2 is mostly plastic, lighter than Elements product but fairly stable and well engineered. Compared to the Element panels though it is obviously made to a price point.
Kb is just knobs. Wave2 is a mix of knobs, buttons, and balls - a great compact solution for location - and with more option for controlling various tools.
Hope that helps!0 -
I use the Elements panels, but suspect I would be happy with the cheaper ones.
I have found the experience transformative, as Jim says, you look at your image not the sliders. It encourages you to play. And now Capture One is fully layered even more valuable. I think if Capture One didn't support Tangent and a competitor did I'd consider ditching Capture One.
If you are a professional I think you'd recoup the cost in time savings in a day. If an amateur it's a fantastic learning aid.
One warning - every dot release of C1 will appear to 'break' your mappings. Don't worry, it's easy to create a new mapping by copying the old.

thanks,
i have a lot of treatment and most of the time I use tint clarity and basic sliders.
So it seems to be time saving and more in the heart of the images.
Hope that between keyboard Wacom tangent and mouse, I have enough with two hands....0 -
You might want to check out the midi controller alternatives around.
If you are not afraid to "get your hands dirty" 😉

Hello,
Midi is too complicate for me...
just last question the wave react as quickly than the slider?0 -
The Element reacts quickly and sensitively; don't know about the Wave. I do have it plugged straight into the Mac rather than via a hub. I have a 5 year old iMac with 32GB RAM. It will depend as much on your machine as the unit I should think. 0
