You can go to File>Backup Catalog, and in the dialog box that comes up you will see the backup location part way down. If you click the ... next to the path shown, you can select any location you like.

    Thanks. Mission accomplished.

I confused myself. I was in the right place, and but pressed the little arrow to the left of the path. This opens up the directory in Finder. So then I pressed ... and thought I had also come into Finder again, which I found a little strange ☹️

I still need to free up more disc space. How can I move some of my folders off to an external drive and let C1 know where they now are.

    Thanks once more

Assuming you are in a catalog...

And assuming you want to move some folders to say Z:/Archive...

    (1) In the Library tool, Folders section, click the + to add Z:/Archive to the catalog.

    (2) Still in the Library tool, Folders section, drag folders from their current location to Z:/Archive.

Because you are doing it in the Capture One library tool, it will know where they have gone and it will physically move them on disc for you.
