Move image between catalogs
I recently split my Capture One Catalog into 5 different catalogs. I did this because my single catalog held over 36000 images and was very slow to respond to many commands. In addition I could not remove catalog keywords without crashing the program for some reason.
I am very happy with the multiple catalogs I am using now. Everything works and loads much faster.
My question is:
Is there a way to transfer images from one catalog to another. I know I can export an image, either a variant or the original, and import it into a different catalog, but that seems like a cumbersome and unnecessary process. Is there are better way.

I did the same thing recently.
I did it like this: Under the Library Tab I went to User Collections, and there I created a new Smart Album (you can also make a normal album but I wanted to automatically add all my Leica files).
When the new album is done, you can rightclick on it an from the menu you can choose Export As Catalog.
After the new catalog is done you can choose to delete the references from the original catalog.0 -
This will not solve my problem. I am creating a file of photographs, for example Black and White pictures. I am creating Black and White images from photos in two or three different catalogs. I know I can export the images and then import them into a file in any catalog I want. I would like to find a method from within Capture One that will allow me to simple move the images in the same manner that I can move them between folders or projects with a single Catalog. 0
