If you were to apply something on import, such as +1 stop exposure, it will add one stop to the existing image. So if your image was overexposed in camera, it will 1 stop extra overexposed when you import it.

Sorry Ian, I didn't explain my question properly! D'OH!! 😄

What if you imported 10 images say, 6 correctly exposed, 2 under and 2 over.
Would the import default settings in C1 give you 10 correctly exposed images or will you still have 6 correctly exposed, 2 under and 2 over.

The reason I ask is that I shoot football and rugby predominately and often have images that can be in bright sunshine or under the shadows of a stand. I try as much as possible to get it right in camera but it's not always possible.

I am wondering if C 1 adjusted images en mass or individually.

    Thanks

If you check the Auto option on import, it will apply automatic exposure adjustments.

    Thanks John.

Just what I was looking AND hoping for.
Just imported two identical images, one 2 stops under exposed and the other 2 stops over exposed.

The under came out really well, the over was still over but a lot better than the original.

    Cheers. 😊
