are the generic icc profiles provided by C1 good?..
hi everyone:-) i was obviosly bored on my vacation (which is almost over:-( ) but maybe someone is the same way curious just like me...
the followong observation i am about to share, i dont see it as a big issue, but just trying to analyse what is going on there.
due to the problem with custom icc profiles created with x-rite

i came across a possibility to view also the generic color profiles provided by C1 using gamutvision 1.4, which is freeware. and i guess most of the readers are able to locate icc profiles in C1 subfolders.
well, first of all i have to mention i am not a pro, just bored and excited about fotografy at the same time:-D so, i've learned/heard somewhere,
that good colorprofiles should have smooth surface. but... in my case i took a closer look on the generic profile of gfx50s and it seems to have some strange shapes at some points.

so, i was thinking if it is bad or not... assume i would print this one

and take a picture of it with my camera. later in C1 using generic icc profile i would push the saturation up till the end so my color informations are also located right at that strange spot and convert this file into a smaller colorspace like adobergb perzeptiv, i guess i would get a big fall down of saturation in aproximatly red marked area.

there is a gap and my thoughts were
assume i managed to capture a color information like the green dot and in postworking i push my luminosity down, maybe just a half of stop -
what happens with that color? is it becomes slitly different color?
same thought on blue spot if i convert to a smaller color space - it should move toward the middle/balanced white...
so maybe someone is experienced in analysing colorspaces and would share some thoughts on that, or maybe someone had observed strange green and magenta behavior using gfx.
