"Not In Collection" Filter

Is there any trick to create a filter (or smart album) to show all photos not in a collection? In i.e. Apple Photos this can be done with "Album is not Any". I use it all the time to bring up all the photos I have not put in a collection yet, and really miss this feature. C1 just needs to add Collection to the filter criteria section.

  This has been asked before and I think the answer is that there isn't such a feature. You could suggest it in a support case. Phase One say that the number of requests for features helps their developers gauge the level of demand for them.
