Losing my RAW edits, not Tiffs
I work in session mode. I spent most of the day yesterday working on problematic images. Today, I get this message:The image settings for G:\Winterfest 2019\CaptureOne\Settings130\_DSC5010.ARW.cos could not be loaded. Settings have been reset to defaults. Details Unexpted exception of tye: System.UnauthorizedAccessException message: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access to the path 'G:\Winterfest 2019\CaptureOne\Settings130\_DSC5010.ARW.cos' is denied.

at P1.C1.Core.ImagePersistency.LoadFromFile(String argSettingsFilePath, ImageSettings argSettings, List`1 argErrorList, LoadImageSettingsFlags argFlags)
All of my RAW (sony ARW, MK IV) edits are gone except for edits to saved tiffs. I ran the verify session app, found an error and repaired it. Any subsequent edits are not being saved or recalled after shutdown unless it's a tiff. Shutdown is taking a LONG time. Any ideas?

What sort of drive is your G: drive?
The .cos file mentioned contains all of the edits for an image. (Mentioned in case you were not aware of that. Also for the benefit of others).
This being a User to User forum unless someone else who has had the same problem happens by you may not find much advice offered that is not speculation by people trying to be helpful.
I would suggest that you create a Support Case and send in the log files. (Have a look at the log files yourself in the meantime if you are into reading such things! There might be stuff that suggests something to you.)

Is your G: drive a network drive or a kind of direct-attached storage (USB, Thumbnail). Due to very brief interruptions or latency with external storage, working with a session is prone to errors. Keep you images on the internal drive until the job is done if you want to play safe. 0 -
WARNING to those that use use Acronis as an internal daily automatic backup. 6-8 months ago I started to get notifications of missing edited files( I had the side car edit and original files but they were not linked). Contacted support and got generic email discussing solutions and how to locate them. Tried that, found a few,but still was missing fully edited images. Ignored issue because of traveling and life etc. Also found some more with a file search and redid a few of them. Jump to a few months later and more are missing. In fact, I notice all my edited images are missing. At same time I sent a new email to support while away again hoping to get answer ot some sort of solution. Well, I removed my backup software, Acronis , by chance and everything is back to normal. No missing files indicated . I obviously had some setting that removed or unlinked the two. OR Acronis backup software is not a good combination. WHEW! 0
