Exported files not updating in CO

Just learning CO and I have a problem. I'm using windows folders structure for organising and when I export a file it doesn't appear to automatically update the folder with the exported file, every time I have to synchronise the folder to be able to see the exported image.

Is there a setting that I'm missing for CO to add the image and show it without having to synchronise the folder every time?

  I cannot test it right now, but what happens if you use " Edit with" e.g. Foto app or Firefox or any other fast-open app, instead of exporting it?

  As Walter says, catalogs don't automatically update the folder to show output files. (Sessions do, which is another of the differences between sessions and catalogs, and had me confused for a while when I started using a catalog.) 

  One workaround I have devised is to use the "Open with" option in the output recipe, and set the Open with app to Capture One itself. That way the output image gets imported into the catalog. But I don't think it is a viable method for a long batch of exports because you get each one as a separate import which is tedious. It can be quicker just to synchronise the folder to get the output files to show up.

  Thank you for your replies and suggestions. I think I'll just set up different output folders for different media so I can keep track of them instead of keeping them with the originals.
