C1 Pro vs C1 Fuji Question

Hi, I understand that these 2 versions are virtually identical except that the Pro version is for ALL cameras but I just wanted to confirm the following. I'm looking at migrating back to C1 after years of using Lightroom. Over the years, I've mostly shot with Canon cameras but in the past year I've moved exclusively to Fujifilm.

IF I get C1 for Fuji, and import all my past catalogs, am I able to see/edit past pictures that were taken with non-Fuji cameras (all RAW files converted to DNG) or just the Fuji images?

If I need the full Pro version to view/edit past photos, I'm debating on keeping those past catalogs in Lightroom and just starting a 2020 Catalog in C1 for Fuji, then importing my X-T2 images.

  Hi Mike,

  As far as I know, you won't be able to edit images other than those taken with a Fuji camera using the Fuji Pro version. DNG can be processed with the full Pro version only, according to what I read in the C1 documentation.

  If you don't want to purchase Capture One Pro and buy only the Fuji version, then the solution that you are thinking about (start with Capture One only with Fuji images) would be the best. It would be possible to upgrade to the full Pro version at any time if you are convinced by the Capture One performances for reprocessing past images.

  One other small consideration perhaps.

  How many system would you want to install the software onto?
