Low resolution previews

I just upgraded to 13.1 today (2020-5-21). Now, all images from previous sessions apprar as low resolution when viewed individually, and in fact look like a lower resolution than the thumbnails in the column to the right. I have checked the setting in Preferences and and that does not help. Any suggestions?

  Hi Jason,

  Did you try regenerate previews ? You just have to right click on thumbnails. Otherwise, you could try to disable OpenCL for the display in the preferences.

  I am having a similar issue in that my thumbnails show ok but the image displayed (on the main screen) is just a larger massively pixellated enlarged thumbnail.  I even rebooted, re-downloaded and re-installed.  Still getting this.  It was ok for the first day/two but since then I've been cursing my upgrade :(

  Repair and Verify of the catalog and regenerating of previews might help.

  I noticed the same behavior. Reinstalled, rebooted, verified the session, all to no avail. At the same time my fans were going wild and C1 had my CPU taxed almost to the max. The activity window showed nothing.

  I finally decided to delete the cache folder of my current working session in order to force C1 to recreate the previews and that worked. I still find the CPU throttles to full power more easily than in 13.0.4 and that the program is more sluggish than before when switching between images, but at least I can use it again. I do suspect it was recreating previews without telling so in the activity window before I deleted the cache.

  Me too noticed the same behaviour. CPU running almost on max, over 300%, pictures pixellated. I'll reinstall the previous version. No way working with the new version, sorry C1, looking for an alternative!

  Update - tried all suggestions i could find. Deleted 13.1 and reinstalled 13.04 - back in business. Will wait for an update and lesson learned - will install on a back up machine to test next time.

  OK, my problem kind of sorted itself out.  After waiting maybe 5 minutes with one image selected and the large image being all pixellated, fans going mad, CPU over 400% (8 Core iMac Pro) I came back to the room with a drink and the image was as it should be.  However, when I selected alternative images it was back to the same problem.  

  I decided to eject the attached drives and just work with the local storage and did a reset.  It now works fine.  I will later try attaching a hard drive and see what happens but there seems to be some link with external drives?  Worth a try and of course I had tried the previous suggestions of regeneration of previews etc..

  My images and session are all on my internal SSD so that’s not it I’m afraid. I think I’ll revert back to 13.0.4 though I do appreciate the additions in 13.1...
