Blue Sky showing layers
Hi,
I have taken few photos of blue sky in a sunny day using 3 different cameras shooting in Raw.
However, the Raw to JPEG conversion showing some layers on the sky for all the 3 cameras. Is there some setting that I need to aware to avoid showing the blue sky in layers for the jpeg output ?
Regards,
Alex

Hi Alex,
It might help if you could share your export/process settings for raw to JPEG. Next, you could share how you view your JPEG file. I assume you see some banding.0 -
Posterisation from too high a jpeg compression value, maybe? 0 -

Jpeg export from Capture One is rather limited.
Export a full res high quality tiff and use Photoshops "save for web" to convert to jpeg.
It gives you detailed previews for all output options letting you optimize your settings
for the best results with realtime feedback on final size and image quality.0 -

I think you should provide some images so we can have a look as appose to making assumptions.0 -
Hi,
How can i share the photo over this forum? I don't see the photo upload option.
Anyway I would like to share the photo using the following public link

The problem happens when the sky is almost totally blue without cloud. I have used RAW to JPEG conversion at 20%. The problem disappears when i do RAW to JPEG2000 conversion. Since this problem happens many times over different camera raw (Canon, Panasonic, Olympus), so i dont think it is the issue of the raw.
Thanks,

Please create a support case.
Provide us the RAW file and the Recipe in it's entirety.
That 20% as a scale should not show this... the 20% as a Quality Adjustment will certainly result in this.
