I lost my RAW files. How can I open the .cop preview images?

Hello,

I lost my RAW files however I noticed I still had the .cop preview images. Is there a way I can get access to them and get an image out of them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Thanks, I'll have a look at the method of making dummy files and renaming them as I can't seem to get capture one V7 to open preview files.
  
  Actually I might not have to, I used Recover my Files to scan the hard drive and I think it's found everything. Now I'm just waiting for all the files to actually be recovered and safe. Hopefully it'll all go well and I won't have to bother with the capture one stuff.
